What are the five poisons in human life? Can one overcome this?

Yoga is the tool to overcome the problems, afflictions, mental pain, trauma as we all know and must have read or experienced in our life.

What are afflictions? How it takes place? Let us evaluate step by step.

Afflictions or poison means something that causes pain or harm to us. We all point out towards others for our problems as we always do. Are we aware there are five types of poison in human life which is the biggest enemy of human being as it's a stoppage of transcending towards highest reality.

Many of you might be thinking as what i am talking about. Yes, u read it right, poison also called as afflictions which destructs human life. These poisons are created by one own self we are not even aware how they are formed in us. Five kleshas/afflictions/poisons these are termed to be painful in one life. When these things starts taking place we are bound with miseries and life related problems.

Five poisons one should know:

1) Avidya/ Ignorance: we are ignorants as we don't know what our real nature is. We are so entangled and engaged in worldly pleasures we forget our true essence of living, these is the biggest klesha from where rest all four remaining kleshas/poison in us starts developing. Ignorance leads to covering of ones own identity, forgetting the purpose of our life we are misdirected towards materialistic pleasure and pain.

2) Asmita/Ego/I-ness: Always we use these sentences am sure its familiar to all 'I am so and so person' 'I have made this' 'Me'  and 'mines'. everytime its i or me. We want all credits in life. Due to egoism we have proud feeling in us. For example, if i am helping some one i say it's because of me she is out of her problems but is it true. Yes, it is because of you but we are just doer there is already highest almighty who is taking care of everything instead of boosting ego, we can say it's all because of amlighty who has blessed me  to help others. This ego or i- ness brings attitudes in us let this go away.

3) Raga/ Attachments:  We all love something or the other and that's what make us attached. It might be person, things, relationships, pets or anything whatever you like. These attachments affect us so much that it hampers our mind and sometimes we loose our power of thinking, we don't know what we are doing. We feel helpless as the person or thing we are attached to has gone away. We start falling sick.

4) Dvesha/ Hatred: We all have heard the word enemies. We hate some one too an extent we start cursing them we don't want to see their faces we pray that we never ever again meet that person in our life. Forgiving that person becomes difficult task for us. This  is not going to hurt them but infact the real hurt is for you. As the seed of hatred keeps growing in us which cause mental afflictions and impacts physicality.

5) Abhinivesha/ Fear of life and fear of death: Now, because of above all  four kleshas the impact we can see is on fifth klesha. We all love our lives as we have made an habbit of material world, pleasure and pain we are used to it. Ego, attachments, hatred this causes us the fear of loosing our lives. This is a natural thing. If it was in our hands we would have stopped our death from coming our way. This fear of death is because of i-ness. Genuinely we have forgotten the real purpose of life our true nature.

These all five kind of kleshas or poison has slowly damaged us internally, we have lost our humbleness, humanity, and added more of selfishness, ego boosting like only i should excel etc. These poison turns out to take our life. As very first klesha avidya itself shows how ignorants we are in our life. It starts developing psychological problems like mental pain, emotional changes, mood swings, anxiety we feel helpless towards our ownself. As we don't know why these problems are taking place in our life.

 Way to overcome this poisons:

The best way to get rid of these affliction and removal of poison is yoga, as yoga teaches us to eleminate all kleshas and transcend spiritualy, this experiences comes naturally on its own. Once you start doing yoga your ego, attachments, desires, hatred, fear will be disappear the journey to new you will come automatically as changes will take slowly and gradually all we need to do is be calm, focused and concentrate on good things which wil help the five kleshas or poison to reduce.

Once you know the true self automatically all the klesha will be unknot one by one. Pain and suffering will be lessen as it controls the developmet of mind from wrong kind of knowledge.

The realized person experiences the highest type of non-pain.

What is karma? Can one create positive karma?

Karma we all have heard this word and have come across it, Many times we use  this word on regular basis. When we are facing troubles, problems or may be some one who hurt us intentionally or unintentionally, we say "let the karma take place". So is it all about karma? Are we not responsible for our own karmas? Yes we are indeed responsible for our very own karma.

Karma which means "actions" or "deeds" itself denotes whatever action you perform it's categorized in to two forms one is good and other is bad. We are free to choose our own karmas as it depends on us not on anybody else. Today we see many people are confused as what exactly karma means.

 What exactly karma is:

Karma is an action perfomed on daily basis good action leads to good life bad action leads to bad state of life as result may vary on your karma. we hear many saying 'whatever you do will be filled accordingly'.

Today we see many people are involved in social working, working towards betterment of society, taking care of poor people and many more. Yes this is what karma looks like but it's not only this there is more to it.

Karma teaches us to be selfless keeping our ego, attitudes, I - ness away. whenever we try to reach out to help others not forgetting there is an almighty already present in this world and we are just serving him by doing our karma. If you do many works for fulfillment and betterment of the society your intentions has to be pure without any attachments of getting any credits in return like name, fame your focus should be on almighty and your work.

We all do some good deeds without our prior knowledge viz. Helping some one in need, some times on road we accidentally meet people who needs help and we go forward to help them forgetting ourselves that who we are, we just want their problems to be solved, we name it as good karma.

Some times we get vibrations, intutions of doing some thing good but we ignore that subtle vibrants and we do what we should have not done, later we regret that i should  have followed my inner gut by the time its too late and moment is passed , this is the trap for us where we fall in karmic cycles. Unintentionally, we hurt others to make their fun or get pleasure from their pain this is where bad deeds happen.

"Each one is great in his own place" as one's character is build on his own thoughts and actions and how they express to others. We are just doing actions to transcend ourselves from ego, attachments and I- ness.

Helping others and doing good to world are fundamental ideas of karma. True karmic person will understand that through all his work he can do only very little good to the world. The little we do today can be wiped off tommorw by some disaster. As the world is in the hands of a power higher than ourselves. We often talk of 'rights' and 'justice' but what guides the conduct of man is selfish motives and other is divine blessings.
                      -Swami Vivekananda

"The old man must die in us".This old man is the selfish ideas that the whole world is made for our enjoyment.

Let's detach our self from worldly pleasures and selfish gains. Work for those in need with out any attachments and motive keeping in mind that there is highest almighty who is keeping record of our karmas. Do right actions and save humanity. Let good karma pay you back.

Note: Helping others and thinking that we are doing good karma's is not actually a karma.we perform our duty for own sake to get into good karma.

In helping the world we help ourselves.

Why me? Does karma play any role in it?

We all have come across a question in our life such as "why me"? "Why does it happens to me only? Why i always fall in this situation"? And many more questions like this isn't?  It is an obvious question which is more fundamental and philosophical.

We are human beings and so problems tend to happen as it is a natural process a cycle of life. Sometimes we see good days and some times bad. We hear many people saying everything is 'maya'. Life is an open challenge, we are so scared to face challenges as we don't want ourself to be doomed, some problems makes us feel so terrible, devastating we don't know how to react as we go on thinking deeper and deeper reflecting on same problems instead of solutions and there is one more new problem infront of us which is loopsided.

If any problem comes our way our very first thought is, if i am in this situtaion it's because of others, we blame others for our own problems, our rationality supersedes, we are not ready to take the blame on us we want some one else to be held responsible for our problems.

We should know its not because of others we come in problem, but it happens accidentally.

Let us see how samkhya-yoga explains the qualities/ gunas of human being.

Human beings are born with  three qualities that is sattva, rajas and tamas. Firstly, sattva which is pure, the intelligent, the supreme, second rajas which is full of energy and attachments with actions, thirdly tamas which is inert, inactive, ignorance and darkness this leads to cover up one's understanding.

Gunas takes place in two pairs. Mostly pair of rajas and tamas takes place when we are in problems. These gunas are predominate over other i.e sattvic guna because of tamas guna we find difficult to over come the problems due to rajas we are attached to the problems and therefore we  find ourself one with the problems, for example, if some one is hurt by me, i feel emotive, oh its because of me that he/she is sad. We should now understand that we are different from these  three qualities we are Just observers to which these qualities/gunas keep on ever changing.

Gunas are responsible for change in behaviour in human beings. Human beings are subject to influence, we loose control over ability to discern truth, essential nature or true self.

These gunas are responsible for our ignorance, bondage and suffering when they are active we remain bound to one thing or another we cannot be completely free from our problems untill they are fully resolved.

"All actions are performed by the gunas of prakriti. Deluded by identification with the ego, a person thinks, " I am the doer."                                           -Bhagvad gita

Which means " Transcnend or go beyond these problmes rather than cultivating them in us. Learn to be wiser and strive to transcend the problems. One who learns to overcome the darkness in life can transcend to sattvic gunas which is end itself in sattva".

When we learn these qualities we understand the reason for problems which makes us wise in decision making, problem solving and remain on right side of life. Knowledge of gunas is also helpful in worldly life.

Problems we face in day to day life:

1) running late to office
2) too much work load and work pressure
3) lack of time to have food
4) break ups
5) financial status
6) mental disturbances due to fights in relationships

Lets try to reflect, learn and rectify our smallest to smallest problems on the basis of our gunas.

Karma plays an important role in life, as it depends on what action we perform in our day to day lives, as good thoughts can lead us to right knowledge. Doing something with positive attitude can give happiness be selfless without expecting anything in return. Being dutiful in nature is better than being aggresive and angry. Most importantly doing something good actions which gives pleasure with non- attachments can lead you to highest stage in life which no problems will affect you. Don't get entangled with your problems.

"Any action is better than no action, it does not matter what you do, it just matters that you do in order  to learn and move forward".

Who are ignorants? does existential crisis impact ignorants?

Existential crisis which means humans dealing with difficult situation, personal conflict from with in and out which leads to frustration, anger loss of something related to a life

Recent crisis as we all are aware. Has taken a turning point in each and every person's life. Our dear indian brothers and sisters who are facing challenges in their lives going through difficult times to survive at the utmost.

Poor migrant labourers, sea farers, and employees stuck in abroad are now finding it difficult to survive. The situation has impacted on them like economic crisis, away from their own family, no wages this has turned in to mental affliction, miseries and tremendous pain as it is becoming more and more difficult to remain constant in such heartning situations with no help from any sources has caused them to ignorance.

Ignorant people are now finding their own way to deal with such situation as there is no help granted, many have started walking miles away together to reach thier homes and meet their families, many sea farers have stuck as there is no land accepting them to stay instead asked companies to pay huge amount of water taxes, employees stuck in abroad are waiting to get their way to home but unfortunately there is a long wait for them to see their families back as these ignorant people are unable to reach their destiny facing daily consequences.

People who had travelled from other countries or states returned back to their homes after a long wait to see their families are now facing different types of mental pain. Society calling them "virus infected" people and dont want them to bea part of society as they think it may affect others,we need to know this, not all people who travelled are infected. Lets change our attitudes our mentality towards such people we have no idea how much amount of pain, stress, depression, trauma and emotions they might have gone through and still going on. Lets not forget there are authorities incharge who are checking them before sending them back to their homes which is very well clear for all.

Samkhya-yoga speaks of three type of pain  first aadhyaatmik pain caused by one self like miseries, which is not visible to others but the person who is facing can experience it. Second aadhibhautik it is natural cause  for suffering dieases, viruses, flood, earthquake, calamities compared to recent crisis which is going arround as many labourers, sea farers, employees one who is struggling  comes under this two categories as the pain and miseries which they are going through is a natural cause. Third type of pain aadhidaivik which is caused by divinity or supernatural powers everything is controlled by higher divinity even if we try to control or change the situtation its never controlled we need to know the pure consciousness which is beyond everything.

Existentailist and samkhya yoga teaches us to eradicate pain, without a possibility of recurs we must gain right knowledge of reality. This reality is dual and knowing try to understand the seed of pain and miseries which will help to terminate the misery forever. We are in bondage and thus we suffer this three fold misery because we have lost rationality and certainity.

Let us help ignorant people who are facing such kind of pain and infliction. Accept them instead of differiating them with one self we all are human being and such viruses are a cause of nature it is not caused by any human beings. Promote love and harmonize the balance in nature in society for such people. May they be safe and reach home safely.

"We do not judge the people we love"

                              -Jean paul sartre

Try to spread love, unity and harmony.

Can habits be changed? Is developmental psychology connected to habits?

Developmental psychology is a study of how and why human beings change as well as their habits and personality change in course of life from the early phase to later stage of life. As behavioral patterns keeps on changing also development keeps on happening in entire life span.

Habit is the part of life which comes under human psychology which shows how the journey of human tendencies develop from infancy, childhood, adulthood and ageing.

This habits are formed on regular repeated basis which then cycles goes on to be a routine  we get used to it. It becomes beneficial part of one's life all these happens in a stages which is a back bone of everyday habbit

We all know there are two types of habit categorized as good and bad this is related to neurology which makes a way to behaviour in habit making as a part of life. Our brain which creates emotions, memories, patterns, recognition now this turns into automatic routine.

Habits are formed by experiences or when we observe someone doing some actions we capture their behaviour, some habits are taught by our parents, from schooling and some are carried from society. We dont analyse this behaviour at first for eg, reading a book. Once i read a book i start loving it as it gives me pleasure i repeat doing it and later unknowingly it turns to be my habit.some times it's a good habit other times it may be bad in the sense it may harm you or may not be adviced to do.

Some habits take us to the part of success being more self reliant, radiant an ongoing process.

On the contrary, habits like smoking a cigratte, biting nails, drinking alcohol are formed due to stress, when emotions triggers we want some thing to release our stress due to this chemical reaction changes and we feel more satisfied and thats how we get addicted to substances etc. Making a part of life we name it as habit, which turns in to lifestyle and we reinforce it in our daily activities.

Good thing is that habits aren't destiny. All habits can be ignored, changed and replaced. Yes, it's not easy but its not difficult too. As it will not disappear it can be replaced by new habit.

Addiction towards habits are so common now adays it is our human tendencies to get attached and addicted with some good and bad habits. Addictions in kids like watching t.v, playing games in mobile continously, eating junk food while teenagers are addicted to games, pornography, social gaming these leads to intoxic habits

Yoga speaks of yamas  it says to avoid habits like violences, lying, stealing, wasting energy and possesiveness one also need to give importance to Niyamas as it ask us to follow simple hygiene of cleanliness, contenment, to purify our mind and body, observing and studying our own habits rectifying them, lasty surrending our habits which we want to get rid of to higher divinty greater than ourselves. purify your soul and mind habits can transform you in a better state to more of humanness.

How can one replace new habit and get rid of old habit

1) change mindset
2) break the chain of routine habits
3) start new habit which leads you with growth for eg, if you want to read a book start with one paragraph, then another once it interest you, you will see the changes in yourself
4) structure routine in life
5) never give up
6) learn new activities
7) do yoga and meditations
8) believe in your spirit

Note: I may not know what is good and bad habit in you, it is you who have to analyse your habit on regular basis as only one can change their own habits.

"If you want to change the world, start with yourself"
                                      --- Mahatma Gandhi

  Take control over your habits.

How far has humanity gone? Does it still exist?

Covid-19 has brought lot of panic and fear in society, in people's life and all over the world. Due to this we are facing many challenges. The negative talks which are going in and out has created more fuss in life not knowing when, where and how to react in the rapid situation.

Negativity, which is going arround has taken control over our mind. We are consuming all the information which is toxic and in a way harming our mental state of mind unknowingly which makes us grow weaker and weaker physically too.

We are facing many challenges the amount of negative thoughts consumed by our mind has caused to  create imbalance of mental state with wavering thoughts and impurities which has negative impact on mental state and physical state creating more chaos.

Has humanity lost or it still exist? Are we genuinely concerned for others or we hesitate to help others? Let us ask our self this question.

Someone falls ill, due to normal fever, we are so scared that it reflects on our mind. We dont know how to react and how to tackle the situation. One should cultivate the habit of being neutral in all problems.

One can follow the norms of social physical distancing taking preventive measures by government but not forgetting humanity which is  prior for now. Being compassionate towards oneself and others, becoming one pointedness, serene, virtous, joyous creating some good thoughts doing some good deeds cultivating positive attitude towards all this will help to alleviate the pain.

To some extent one can make a point to calm the mind and with help of one pointedness mind can be controlled from unnesscary distractions peacefully. Create empathy instead of sympathy this leads to a better state of mind.
Swami vivekananda, one of the prominent philosopher says, "we are what our thoughts have made us, so take care about what you think, words are secondary thoughts live and they travel far".

Beautiful lines from swami Vivekananda one  can reflect "you have to grow from the inside out, none can make you spiritual, none can teach you, there is no other teacher but your own soul.

Some points to remember,

1) thinking positively
2) reading holy scriptures, novels pacifies the mind
3) do not speak anything negative which can take control over your mind
4) try to focus on your breathe while meditating
5) exhalations helps relieves from such mental disturbances
6) surrendering oneself to god viz.. (praying to god)

  Let there be positive vibes.....

Social gaming is a disaster? Social gaming platform Boon or curse?

As we are in the phase of lockdown, we see many youths and children's are addicted to social gaming, as they have made this the part of life by giving it a lot of importance. Many survey's say that number of youths are addicted to pubG.

One of the famous game which has shaped many lives to be violent, aggressive, frustrated, cranky, anxious etc which impacts negatively on mind which leads to  mental and physical state of imbalance which worsen our daily schedule.

These triggers psychologically like changes in thoughts, emotions, mood swings and behavior patterns which has also taken away many lives.

Due to this many relations have spoiled and ended abruptly. It has made a disconnection and discomfort between parents and childrens, spouse etc. Keeping them engaged in game have made them socially inactive.

Not forgetting the impact on health problems like no proper time to take meals, obesity as continously sitting in one place for hours together, sleep deprivations , migraines continuously looking in mobiles which can affect eye sight.

Secondly, it leads to problems in communication with the opposite person.

It makes them so engrossed and attached to the game that they are least interested to know what some one is saying which may cause the opposite person to react in anger, frustration, sadness etc which leads to conflicts at home.

To come out of it one can invest their time in proper way and use their time for each and every aspect of their lives. Spending quality time with family members or calling a friend, interacting with them or doing something productive for own.

One can,
1) limit your time to play PubG for 1-2 hrs
2) execute your time in more activities
3) talk to your family and friends
4) exercise or try meditation
5) Yoga would be a perfect solution to maintain good health.

Try --- You can see  life  changing...

Finding One Self from 'Nahi hoga to Yoga'

Yoga is not just a word it has a deep meaning which says union of mind and body(oneself).

Some years ago, as I was facing with lot of psychological problems like anxiety, fear, stress, panic attacks due to this situation was getting out of my control day by day. It was becoming more and more difficult for me  to handle any situation which made me emotionally and physically weak and as days passed by I started becoming pale.

I was lost somewhere in my own world. I felt myself helpless. Somewhere I felt that no one will understand my feelings as I had trust issues. I never spoke to anyone about the amount of pain and trauma I was dealing with. But my friends and n (thanks to them) who always looked at me and figured out that I was going through some difficult times. After days passed by they started asking me the reason for being so lost and then they interacted with me. As I could hardly speak up my problems, knowing that they will help me without judging and trusting me they guided and consoled me.

My friends who were and still are into yoga anadviced me to practice yoga on regular basis. Than One day I planned to join yoga classes nearby. Thanks to my family who supported me to do yoga. At first I found it very tiring and boring but after joining the class and being regular some months later I really felt myself transforming into a better direction.
I could see the changes in me. The journey of weaker me to stronger me. The mind once, which was disturbed and confused with loads of questions was finally at ease and my heart felt lighter.

Finally I decided to opt in for a course in yoga and when I started attending the sessions, studying patanjali yoga sutras I came across. All the questions and queries once which were there in my mind finally got solved through yoga. It made me more focused, attentive, calmer, stronger it prepared me to face and deal with any problems come what may|||

It showed me the way of life how one can live their life in a disciplined manner. Accepting the problem instead of running from the problem. How one should tackle the problem? As there is a solution in the problem, one has to travel within oneself to come out with solutions and this can be done through meditation.

'Yoga is a journey of the self, through the self, to the self
-The Bhagwad Gita.

Not only this, I realised yoga is open for all. It is not related to any religion, caste or sect.
According to Patanjali yoga sutra book.  One has to realize for their own self. It's a journey from outer self to inner self making visions more clear and focused, from flickering mind to calmer mind.

It transcends one from negativity to Positivity. The beautiful process of self realisation is realising one's own weakness, accepting the situation and working on it and   experiencing oneness with truth. When you go deeper and deeper into yoga there is a permanent happiness, bliss and joy that brings inner peace and a gloom to your face while it surpasses all your anxiety and fear,  brings balance to your life with discipline and  self control which takes you to the path of spirituality and closer to divine that is God. As he is the creator, giver and taker just surrender to him and let go the worries.

                      There is a New You!

Is Relationship a Stressor? Can one tackle it ?

Nowadays, we find many youth going through lot of psychological problems like depression, anxiety, fear, stress etc. The main reason for this is relationship stressor which impact our mind negatively.

In such situation we are so dependent on other person. We rely on them directly or indirectly to take us out of our very problem or situation. We become emotionally weak that our capacity to resonate becomes weak even physically. We cannot find any way to put an end to such situation rather we just go on over thinking and hoping that this problem will end soon.

We make decision emotionally and end up making situation more worse for ourselves. There is a need to understand our self first, trying to recognize the problem why all such things are taking place in our life? How can we resist these problems?
In such situation it is said that it is better we talk to some one may be our friends, relatives or family members whom we can trust. Instead of surpassing our emotions and creating more chaos in life.

Think positively, analyze smallest to smallest problems, think critically on current situation rather than thinking about past, try to focus on present-how can we deal with these problems? Focus on good thoughts. Some times its better to consult a counsellor who could guide you and direct you in a right way.

The best ways to come out of these situations are:
1) engage yourself in some activities
2) explore your hobbies
3) do yoga and meditation
4) sitting in midst of nature gives positive vibes (In this corona pandemic situation you can sit in your home balconies if possible)
5) learning something new creates positivity and happiness.

'Don't let the situation control your mind, you train your mind to control any situation'
